In the beggining of 2008, the car saloon with Chinese cars of Great Wall will start in Radom, „Dziennik Zachodni” has announced today. Two vehicles will be available in the beggining – offroad Homer and pickup Deer. Chinese expect, that atracitve price and more popular fashion for pickups and offroads, will cause customers’ interest. These cars are possible to buy in Russia and Ukraine for one year and many willings wants to buy them.
Equipped with automatic air-conditioning and weather upholstery Hover will cost around 70,000 PLN, and it is 30,000 less than its Japanese equivalent – Toyota RAV4. Both cars for seem to be really similar, but Chinese one has worse engine. Ingeniours from Great Wall used a petrol engine constructed in 90’s. Similar situation is with Deer. It costs nearly 50,000 PLN, which means 30,000 less than Toyota Hilux or Mitsubhishi L-200, but it is impossible to find in it, as in Japanese competors, modern Diesel engines, fulfiling Euro4 standards. Moreover, Deer doesn’t have airbags as a standard equipment.

These cars have been available to buy for year and a half in Great Wall Cars’ headquarter, even till this time there was no representative sale’s saloon. In December 2006, “Rzeczpospolita” announced, that these cars would be available in 25 saloon in Poland from March. Till this time information has not been confirmed. GW cars, which has the general importer status, is an ownership of Russian entrepreneurs, who are selling Chinese offroads in Russia.
