Changfeng CS7 - new SUV for less then $15,000?

May 16th Chinese concern, Changfeng Motor, presented it’s new model CS7. The vehicle was being shown as a concept ‘Cheetach’ very often before, for example at the Detroit Motor Show in January this year. But the producer surprised everybody showing up two versions of CS7 with the the same body – already mentioned Cheetach and Sport one. What do these small SUVs offer for less then $15,000?

Changfeng to make China's first hybrid SUV

As the earliest Chinese SUV maker, Changfeng Motor is set to launch China's first hybrid SUV model, which is codenamed Liebao (Leopard) CS7 Hybrid, reported West China City Daily. Industry experts said that its successful development and manufacture of the hybrid SUV has made Changfeng Motor a leader in the Chinese SUV section, with its R&D capability and technology reaching the world's state-of-the-art SUV standards.

Chinese don’t want Hummer and prefer ecological cars

Hunan Changfeng Motor resigned from buying Hummer Brand from General Motors. Chinese said, the car would be too expensive for their army, and sale for civilians would be very difficult. Changfeng, of which Mitsubishi Motors is one of shareholder, deliver off-roads Leopard to Chinese Army. Every of them costs 200,000 yuan, which is a small part of the amount, the Hummer is worth. One of the reason is also a drastic growth of taxes for cars with the biggest engines.

New Chinese cars designed by… Pininfarina!

At the Pekin motor show, which will last between 20-28 of April, two Chinese concerns will present three cars designed by famous Italian design house – Pininfarina. Anhui Jianghuai Automobile will present the New five-door hatchback (A107 code) and sedan CV8 (A108 code). Brilliance will unveil for the first time BS4 wagon version (Station Wagon).

Hummer dismissed rumours about cooperation

General Motors' Hummer, dismissed Chinese media reports concerning an alleged tie-up between Hummer and Changfeng. Last week, the Guangzhou Daily reported, that Changfeng Motor had reached a deal for Hummer to build Changfeng vehicles in North America. "We're not doing anything with Changfeng. We have had no discussions," Nick Richards, a spokesman for Hummer, told Inside Line.

Changfeng Motor will deliver landing gears for Hummer

Changfeng Motor Corp. has signed a draft agreement with American Hummer, belonging to General Motors - Guangzhou Daily announced. Currently Changfeng produces cars on the Mitsubishi license. Japanese company’s technology allowed Changfeng to create its own constructions, for which the carmaker has ownership rights. American consumers already had the opportunity to see Chinese products, during last two motor shows in Detroit.

Changfeng to conquest North America

Changfeng (Group), a Chinese partner of Mitsubishi Motors Corp., is expected to finalize in late May the scheme of setting up a factory in the US, becoming the first Chinese automaker to create a complete vehicle factory in the world's first largest auto market. As possible localization three places are pointed – center of USA, north-east USA and Canada. Chinese company is currently looking for new partners in Europe and Russia.

Changfeng unveils European’s expansion plans

During Detroit motor show, Changfeng Motor unveiled development plans in Europe and USA. The car maker has already started to look for business partners, who would be able to produce vehicles in SKD (semi-knocked-down) system. 2009 is the time, when sale in this regions is going to start. During press conference, Changfeng presented also two new models – offroad Liebao CS7 and designed by Phininfarina minivan Kylin.

Oficjalna lista chińskich marek na Detroit 2008

Już w sierpniu było wiadomo, że na przyszłorocznym salonie w Detroit zaprezentuje się pięciu chińskich wystawców. Dzisiaj organizatorzy NAIAS 2008 ujawnili oficjalną listę wystawców z Kraju Środka. Należą do nich: Changfeng, BYD Auto, Geely, Hebei Zhongxing oraz Li Shi Guang Ming Auto Design. Wystawcy z Kraju Środka będą umieszczeni w hali Michigan, zlokalizowanej poniżej głównej hali Cobo Center. Targi odbędą się w dniach 19-27 stycznia 2008 roku.

Changfeng Motor jedyną chińską marką w Detroit

Jedynym reprezentantem chiÅ„skiej motoryzacji na Salonie w Detroit jest Changfeng Motor. Ta maÅ‚o znana firma, zajmuje siÄ™ produkcjÄ… samochodów terenowych na licencji Mitsubishi. Zdobyta technologia dostarczyÅ‚a im „bazÄ™” do budowy pierwszych wÅ‚asnych modeli. Ich design zostaÅ‚ opracowany przez Changfeng, choć oficjalnie przyznaje siÄ™ że przy pomocy wÅ‚oskiego biura Phininfarina. W sumie pokazanych zostaÅ‚o pięć nowych modeli.
