Landwind is back to the German market

Landwind prepares to return to the German market and is going to sell a minivan CV9. Last week representatives of Landwind Europe presented the model at the special meeting for 50 people in Stomberg. Has been known for some time that the sales of this car will start in spring 2011. The basic version of minivan will cost 12,995 EUR. Germany become the third European country - after Netherlands and Belgium - where CV9 will be offered.

Euro NCAP organization unveiled the newest scores of crash tests. According to predistions, Landwind CV 9 has appeared on the list. The car priced at EUR 11,950 debuted in Neatherlands exactly five years after X6 SUV model, which achieved the worst score in the history of ADAC. Anything has changed since then?

Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. (JMC) rolled out on 18 October its first high-end SUV, Yusheng, serving as a strategic model for the Chinese automaker to tap into the passenger vehicle market, auto.qq.com reported Wednesday. European organization Euro NCAP has announced the list of vehicles which will be destroyed in next part of tests. For the first time in the history of this organization the list included also Chinese representative - Landwind CV-9. Crash test result has a symbol meaning, because five year ago information about disastrous results of Landwind SUV went around the world and it was the worst score in ADAC history. Will a new model share a fate of predecessor?

The Dutch importer of the Landwind has started distributing of new compact van signed CV9 code. The main advantage of the vehicle is very competitive price (€11,950) and seven-seater body. Five years since the fatal crash-test’s results of SUV model, European importer ensure about its great safety. At present, the car can be ordered in Netherlands and Germany and it will be offered in Belgium and Italy by the end of the year.

At the 2009 Shanghai auto show last month, Jiangling Motors displayed its new-generation Landwind X8, which is said to look like the Mitsubishi's Outlander, sina.com said today. Landwind is finishing preparing to the investment. According to vice Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak the factory is to be settled on Opolszczyzna – Rzeczpospolita has announced. Waldemar Pawlak met with representatives of the Chinese carmaker Jiangling Motors Group Company (JMC) during his last visit in China. The company operates as Landwind Motor Corporation outside China.

China News Agency ‘China Knowledge’ has confirmed Rzeczpospolita’s news, that Jiangling Motors Corp (JMC) is planning to build an auto manufacturing plant in Poland. The new plant will cost US$1.2 billion and set to produce 400,000 units of vehicles per year. Representatives of the Chinese auto maker will negotiate with officials from the relevant government bodies in Poland on the cooperation program in mid September.

As Rzeczpospolita has found out, Jiangling Motors Group Company is going to build car factory in Poland. Peter Bijvelds, the representative of Chinese in Europe has affirmed this information. He is the CEO of Landwind Motor Corporation (JMC is operating overseas under such name). If it happens it will be the first Chinese car factory in Europe.

The Chinese brand – Landwind is going to start sale in Great Britain in autumn this year. The off-road X-Pedition will be sold firstly, and just after the seven-placed mini van Fashion is going to appear. Landwind has also announced, that the official dealership network will be known in summer. Both models have the permission to be sold in European countries.

On January 16, Beijing Time, 2012 Dakar Rally lasting for two weeks came to an end in Lima, Capital of Peru. In the vehicle group, all Chinese racing teams completed the race; among them, Haval Racing Team for Dakar Rally not only ranked in top ten of the race for the first time together with famous racing teams including BMW and Hummer, but also created the best record of Chinese racing teams participating in the rally.

Recently Great Wall Motors built Voleex C30 and Voleex C20R have been approved by EU with WVTA. Following Florid, Coolbear, Haval, and Wingle, the complete series of Voleex saloon cars of Great Wall Motors have got this certification. This certification lasted for 1 year, and the certification organization of VCA in UK is responsible for the certification process which is considerably complicated and strict. Totally 48 testing items are involved in EU Certification, of which 13 are relating to active safety, 13 for passive safety, 8 for environmental protection. Fairly high standards have been set for the vehicles in regard to emission level, safety performance and environmental protection.

Great Wall Motor Co., China's largest SUV maker, expects its joint venture assembly plant in Bulgaria to start producing vehicles in February - according to autonewschina.com. The factory, in the northern Bulgarian town of Lovech, is a joint venture between Great Wall and Bulgaria's Litex Motors Co. Chinese tycoon plans to set up a technology center in Europe to develop vehicles that comply with the European safety standards - autonewschina.com said.

Volvo Car Corp. styling chief Peter Horbury is moving to the Swedish automaker's sister brand, Geely Group, as senior vice president of design - we can read in service autonewschina.com. He began his career with the Swedish automaker in 1991 as head of design, helping to create new models such as the XC90 crossover before he moved in 2002 to Ford's Premier Automotive Group.
