Polish distributor launches sales of BYD Auto range. First in Ukraine

Polish-based Automotive Europe Corporation has begun marketing Chinese-built BYD Auto model range in Ukrainie. The new distributor makes nor secret of its ambition to become the No. 1 in the sales of Chinese-models on this market. Previously BYD was represented by a local company Atlant-M, but its operation became heavily limited during the recent crisis. Currently, there are some 1,000 BYD-badged cars on Ukrainian roads (mainly the F3) for which the Polish-based importer has also prepared an attractive servicing package.

BYD E6 on the market, price 369 800 RMB

Following on the heels of the F3DM hybrid's introduction, BYD's new E6 pure electric car has made its official debut in Shenzhen, Today Morning Express reported today. This date is helping usher Shenzhen into the age of pure electric vehicles. According to the press conference held by BYD for the new car yesterday, the E6 (pictured), created in association with Daimler, was especially created with Shenzhen drivers in mind. According to the manufacturer's Vice President Lian Yubo, the BYD E6 possesses several examples of world-class technology, including intelligent keyless entry, voice recognition navigation system, on-board digital television, rear-view reverse camera and other accessories.

BYD F3DM already in Europe, the price 27,685 EUR

The sales of hybrid model BYD F3DM have started in Spain. Berge Automotive company, an official importer of Chinese brand, priced car at 27,585 EUR. Interestingly, this is only introductory price valid at the time of launch model. The final price will rise about 1,000 EUR to 28,550 EUR. Unfortunately, the car is a copy of the American version of the Toyota Corolla IX generation.

BYD will Introduce All Electric Buses in Frankfurt

BYD Company Limited (BYD) a leading-edge provider of green energy technologies based in Shenzhen China has signed a Letter of Intent (“LOI”) with the city of Frankfurt, Germany to introduce BYD’s all-electric, long-range, eBUS. The City of Frankfurt announced that it was working towards a plan to implement an integrated electric mobility system aligned with public transportation and the utilities companies. BYD will supply three (3) all-electric buses eBUS-12, two (2) DC charging stations and technical support in the first quarter of 2012. These electric buses will be used as shuttles at Frankfurt’s Airport and Public transportation routes to the Gateway Gardens in Frankfurt.

AEC in plans to launch BYD brand in Poland

Automotive Europe Corporation says is has been appointed as the official distributor of BYD brand models for Poland. Additionally, it will also act as the sole BYD distributor for Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Automotive Europe Corporation (AEC), headed by Dariusz Wysocki since May 1, is set to bring the electric BYD E6 model to Poland for extensive road tests. The purpose of this is to make sure that the E6 is fully up to Polish customers’ standards once the car goes on sale here.

Samochód będzie wyposażony w "baterie żelazne", które są tańsze niż baterie litowo-jonowe. Ich ogromną zaletą jest nietoksyczność i możliwość recyclingu, czyli dodatkowe elementy wpływające na ekologię. Maksymalny zasięg szacowany jest na 300 km, podczas normalnej jazdy spada do ok. 250 km, co i tak jest bardzo dobrym wynikiem. Wstępnie wiadomo, że jego cena wyniesie ok. 120 tys. PLN, o 40 tys. PLN mniej niż znacznie mniejszy i słabszy Mitsubishi i-Miev.

BYD's E6 electric vehicle lands in Rotterdam

Chinese automaker BYD has signed a deal to bring its all-electric e6 vehicle to Europe for the first time. BYD said May 30 that it will supply authorities in the Dutch city of Rotterdam with electric vehicles as part of the green transportation project 75-EV-RO, which will put 75 electric cars on the streets of the city. The fleet is designed to ease public concerns and address common misconceptions about electric vehicles such as vehicle safety, charging technology and local environmental impact.

BYD to inaugurate electric buses in Denmark

China's electric vehicle maker BYD Automobile Co Ltd is set to trial a full-size, all-electric bus in the Danish capital Copenhagen, according to a news release issued by Denmark's biggest public transport operator Movia and Denmark's Ministry of Foreign affairs Thursday - according to China Radio International. Designed and manufactured by BYD, a leading Chinese electrical vehicle and battery producer, the model K9 bus is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 55 percent compared to conventional buses.

BYD Auto in Poland - the official importer of Chinese brand has been revealed

Automotive Europe Corporation Sp. z o.o. - it is the full name of the new company responsible for distribute of BYD Auto in Poland. The company preparing for a pilot program involving delivery of first batch of cars before EURO 2012. According to received information, the long-term contract between AEC and BYD Auto includes full range of vehicles distribution not only in Poland, but also in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

BYD F3DM - the first test drive of Chinese plug-in hybrid

BYD Auto is going to sell "green cars" abroad. At the Geneva Motor Show representatives of the company announced, that BYD will export the e6 electric car and the S6DM plug-in hybrid from China to Europe by the end of 2012. At the same time Chinese company has hope to start selling vehicles in the U.S., where these green cars are already tested. One journalists of The New York Times had the opportunity to drive F3DM model and revealed its experience.
