Europe is not for Brilliance, the importer is bankrupt

HSO Motors Europe company, the general importer of Chinese Brilliance in Europe, filed for insolvency. In an interview for German Autohaus company’s CEO Hans-Ulrich Sachs explains that the main reason of financial problems was wrong producer’s price policy, which despite crisis hadn’t made any moves to rise competitive its products.

ADAC: zero stars for Brilliance BS4

It is the third time, when the crash test of Chinese vehicle was conducted. The first one in November 2005 was off-road Landwind, and in June 2007 – middle class limousine – Brilliance BS6. In both cases, results were the worst in the history of German association and stopped expansion of these brands in Europe practically. This time the compact sedan Brilliance BS4 was tested.

Brilliance BS2 to be cheaper than Polo

During Geneva auto show of Brilliance Brand, the German importer – HSO Motors Europe – officially announced, that in the end of the year the compact model BS2 (in China known as FRV) will appear on the local market. BS2 was designed by Italdesign studio, belonging to famous Giugiaro. Journalists underlined the fact, that the same designer “drafted” the first Golf from 1974.

Brilliance new models at the Geneva motor show

During this years Geneva motor show, two new models of Chinese automaker – Brilliance will be presented: the compact BS2 and BS4 station wagon. The first one was already shown last year, but visitors could see only the external car’s body. Designer by Pininfarina BS4 Wagon would have its debut in Europe.

Brilliance BS4 to cost 15,990 EUR

The newest Chinese way to enter the demanding European market is a higher middle class model – Brilliance BS4. Its sale is to start on 25th of October in Germany, through 124 dealership points. The basic version of the car with Mitsubishi 1.6L engine (100hp) was priced for 15,990 EUR (around 55,700 PLN). Brilliance BS4 bases on the shortened BS6’s platform and is shorter than it by 232 mm.

Brilliance is on the way – Paris at first, later Detroit

The Chinese carmaker has already announced its participation in the two biggest automotive events –the Paris motor show in October and Detroit one in January. On each of them Brilliance is going to present the wide range of its models – BS6, BS4, BC3 coupe and BS2. These cars are already sold on the local market. Last year there were 32,006 units of BS6 sold and 82,311 units of BS4. BC3 and BS2 are this years newness.

Brilliance Motors to become new partner of Borussia Dortmund

HSO Motors Europe, the general importer of the Brilliance car brand in Europe, is to become Champion Partner of the German Premier League football team Borussia Dortmund (BVB) and consequently the exclusive automotive partner of BVB. In Germany, Brilliance Motors Deutschland GmbH will be using this sponsorship to emotively bond brand association among club supporters and football fans.

Safer Brilliance on the way to Germany

Brilliance China Automotive Holding sent yesterday first part of 270 units of modernized Zhonghua (BS4) saloon. According to producer’s assurances, the car will get three stars in European crash tests. The first models will be available to German customers starting next month.

Brilliance in Poland, final negotiations are being conducted

HSO Motors Europe company, the German importer responsible for sale of Brilliance in Europe is finishing negotiations about distributing Chinese cars in Poland. Such information was given yesterday in German media, showing Poland as one of ten countries, in which negotiations are the closest to be finished. 16 European countries signed licensed agreements earlier.

Brilliance FRV (BS2) in China to cost 20,000 PLN!

The official sale of Brilliance FRV has been started in China today. The new compact hatchback is going to compete on the global market successfully. The attractive model will be offered in Europe under the name BS2 quite soon. An exhibition model was already shown – though the exterior – at the Frankfurt and Geneva motor show.
