„Possibly there will be two off-roads produced in Lublin”, Dziennik Wschodni announced. Except Hooker it will be probably pickup Deer, being produced by Chinese concern Great Wall. Chinese car is being prepared to get official certification. If everything goes well, the car will get polish papers. Great Wall Motor is planning to assemble these two cars in Russia, where Chinese pickups are very popular.
As Dziennik Wschodni announces, Polmot Holding, the company existing on the Polish market for many years, wants to market the car in our country. Past Research and Development Center in Intrall got an order to prepare the car to receive the official certification. Vehicle will be adjusted to countries’ technical requisite. Under the bonnet 3.5L Iveco Diesel engine will probably appear. Another parts will come from Polish subassembly’s producers. If the car gets an official certification, Polmot Holding will possibly take a decision to assemble these vehicles in Lublin.
Editorial comment:
Pickup Deer has been in Radom’s company Great Wall Cars offer for over year and a half. Recently Dziennik Zachodni has even informed about the first saloon in the city, although till this time there was no official news. The issue with official certification and rights to sell the car in Poland stays unresolved. Thanks to Iveco’s engines, Polmot can take Great Wall’s distribution in Poland, all the more, that changes of vehicles’ admission to traffic are being prepared. Deer from Radom with old 2.2L and 102Hp Toyota’s engine (code GW491QE) costs around 50,000 PLN. Tax regulation encourage to buy pickups, which makes finding potential purchasers easier. Has the war about distribution rights already started?
