Ladwind CV9 – Chinese van for €11,950

The Dutch importer of the Landwind has started distributing of new compact van signed CV9 code. The main advantage of the vehicle is very competitive price (€11,950) and seven-seater body. Five years since the fatal crash-test’s results of SUV model, European importer ensure about its great safety. At present, the car can be ordered in Netherlands and Germany and it will be offered in Belgium and Italy by the end of the year.

Peter Bijvelds, CEO of Landwind Europe, supposes that the car will receive three stars in European crash test, as much as in China, when the car was broken by C-NCAP safety organization. The main problem is that, that the Chinese test parameters are much different then European, for ex ample speed is decreased from 64 to 56 km /h. Moreover, even in local terms, this model obtained less ‘small’ points than the Great Wall Peri, a Chinese copy of Fiat Panda. European requirements on safety equipments don’t bode best, because CV9 is equipped only with ABS and two airbags. The importer is aware of these defects, and it promotes the movie how the vehicle passes the moose test at a speed of almost 90 km/h.

Apart from aspects relating to safety, the car looks promising. The offer includes two petrol engine 1.6 (95 hp) and 2.0 (137 hp) both with Euro 5 norm, which were made in Germany by Motortechnik German GmbH. For an interesting style is responsible Italian design styling studio I.DE.A. Car has length 4.41m, width 1.77m and height 1.64m.

Bijvelds thinks, that people don’t remember the fatal results of off-road model today, and this fact could help in better sale. He has plan to sell 1 500 car in the Netherlands through 23 dealers by the end of this year. We have to wait to see that. EuroNCAP will publish us the crash-test results in the autumn.
