J.D. Power – Audi as the most appreciated brand in China

Audi has won in customers sale’s quality satisfaction survey in China. In top ten, the local producer – First Automotive Works (FAW) has appeared as well. It has the same score as Mercedes-Benz and placed itself on the second position. Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) was calculated on the base of 8,954 new purchasers’ opinions about 45 the most popular brands.

Survey was conducted in 26 big cities between February and May 2008. Respondents answered the questions, which could receive even 1,000 points. Questions were divided for seven categories with different importance level:
- car’s delivery process (25%),
- delivery’s time (15%),
- dealer’s infrastructure (14%),
- agreement signing (12%),
- “bureaucracy” work (12%),
- seller’s reliability (12%),
- customer’s initiation (10%).

Top ten of J.D.Power survey:
1. Audi - 847 points,
2. FAW - 841 points,
3. Mercedes-Benz - 841 points,
4. Lexus - 840 points,
5. FAW-Volkswagen - 839 points,
6. BMW - 838 points,
7. Changan Mazda - 837 points,
8. Nissan - 835 points,
9. Dongfeng Honda - 834 points,
10. Guangzhou Toyota - 834 points.

An average rate for all brands was 826 points. Except of FAW, another two Chinese brands – Wuling (828 points) and Zhonghua (826 points) got higher results.
