The car has been being produced since 2005 by Hebei Zhongxing Automobile. The company offered its earlier products, which based on older Toyota and Honda models, but finally decided to promote the model designed only by its own engineers. The car is 7-placed Chinese SUV.

The most popular engine is 2.4 16V SOHC Mitsubishi engine, 127 bhp (code: 4G64). The maximum torque is 196 Nm. Rear wheel drive is a standard, as well as 5-speed manual transmission. With 1,670 kg of kerb weight, the car can reach 150 km/h of maximum speed. There is also 4-speed automatic transmission and all wheel drive possible to choose. The engine fits Euro 3 emission standard. The old Nissan’s Diesel engine (code: QD32) is offered, which with 3.2 litres of capacity has 110 bhp of maximum power and 221 Nm of maximum torque. It fits only Euro 2 emission standard. Standard equipment includes: manual air conditioning, full electric system with radio CD. Safety elements depend on importer - producer agreement.

Belgium used car dealer - Cardoen (cardoen.be) is responsible for delivering cars in West Europe. The same dealer offers also Brilliance vehicles, and its advantage is wide activity area (all Benelux countries), and its developed dealership network with service’s points. The next dealer appeared some time ago in France (zhongxing.fr). The Zhongxing company has already signed an agreement with Chamco Auto, located in New Jersey, which wants to be the first Chinese cars’ official importer in USA. The beginning is planned for the second half of 2007, and the offer will include two models – passenger one and crossover – being produced by the new company ZXAUTO CHANGCHUN China. Annual capacity will be 300,000 units.
