The car is known as „Chinese Land Cruiser”. It bases on design of Japanese Toyota Land Cruiser 100, and appeared on the market in 2002 as Fuqi 6500. Huaxiang Fuqi cooperated with Zhongxing (Landmark and Grandtiger producer) during the car’s production and selling process, but in 2004 theirs cooperation was finished. Since that time Huaxiang has been still producing the car in small number units independently. Last year Fuqi 2007 model year appeared on the market. It was additionally equipped with ABS and air conditioning for second row seats as a standard. The company reserves, that is has got intellectual rights to produce the car. There are about 100 company’s sell points in China.

Fuqi uses three engines: two petrol engines and one Diesel engine. The smaller 2.7 (OHC) petrol engine bases on Toyota’s (3RZ) engine’s construction, which was assembled in 4Runner model. The maximum power is 150bhp and maximum torque - 235 Nm, which ensures maximum speed around 140 km/h. The stronger 3.0 V6 engine bases on Nissan’ engine technology (VG30E). It was the first Japanese V6 engine, of which series production started in 1984. Maximum power - 160bhp and maximum torque – 248 Nm let the car reach 160 km/h of maximum speed. 2.8 Diesel engine comes from Iveco and fits Euro 2 emission standard. It is equipped with turbocompressor and intercooler. Maximum speed, only 130 km/h, is reached with 118bhp of maximum power and 269 Nm with maximum torque.

Rear wheel drive is a standard, and 4x4 drive needs additional charge. 5-speed manual transmission is a standard as well. The Fuqi’s advantage is double fuel tank (70+50 liters). The suspension’s technology was adapted from Toyota 4 500. Approach angle is 340, and departure angle is 250. Main car’s recipients are Near East’s and South Africa’s countries.
