Xinkai, established in 1999, is one of the leaders in pickup and SUV cars’ producers group. The carmaker is advertising itself as a really active and fitted to market’s demands. It is the first Chinese producer, which decided to assemble automatic transmissions in pickups with Diesel engines.

SUV model is 4,975 mm long, an its kerbweight is over 1,600 kg. Load capacity is about 440 kg. The offer includes three engines – two petrol engines and one Diesel engine. And old Diesel with 2.8 litres of capacity and 78 bhp of maximum power comes from Isuzu (code: 4JB1) and was assembled in Trooper. The weak engine has 174 Nm of maximum torque, and producer doesn’t give information about maximum speed of this version. 2.2 petrol engine OHC (491Q-ME) comes from Isuzu as well. Its maximum power is 102 bhp and maximum torque is 193 Nm. 2.4 litres (2RZ) is the strongest engine. It was produced by Toyota before. Since 1989 is has been assembled in LCV model – Hiat, and since 1995 in pickup – Tacoma. Its maximum power is 122 bhp and maximum torque - 205 Nm.

Really interesting is very wide wheelbase, which gives the car unusual body. Xinkai SUV is offered in three versions: Standard, Deluxe and Premium, but only the last one has four-wheel drive. Xinkai is one of not many models, of which standard equipment covers: rear ladder, CD changer (10 CDs) with LCD screen.
