Brilliance Zhonghua BS 6 was unveiled for the first time on German market on November 28th 2006. The official brand’s importer is the HSO Motors Europe company, which creates and controls brand’s marketing in Europe. It is responsible also for an import, sale’s preparing and delivering cars to stockists in every country through Bremerhaven – the city playing the most important role in this brokerage.

In the beginning the BS6 model will be offered in 3 versions: 2.0 Comfort, 2.0 Deluxe and 2.4 Deluxe. The cheapest one costs 19,000 EUR, and the most expensive one 23,000 EUR. Every of them have 3 years of warranty limited by 100,000 kilometers. All engines fit EURO 4 emission standard. The importer informs, that it is an international car, because it has Italian design, exterior comes from USA (Fori), Porsche engineer were working with suspension and there are engines from Japanese Mitsubishi. The high level of value was confirmed by independent organization TUV and DEKRA, during first drive tests in summer months 2006.

The car has following dimensions: length – 4.88 m, width – 1.80 m, height – 1.45 m, wheelbase – 2.79 m. Its advantage is load capacity – 550 liters. Standard wheels measures 205/55 R16, and the primary fuel tank capacity is 74 liters.

The basic version 2.0 (16V) Comfort is equipped with 2.0 fuel engine with 122bhp maximum power and 170 Nm. Thanks to it, acceleration from 0-100 km/h is 13.8 sec. The maximum speed is 190 km/h. Combined fuel economy is 6.5-l/100 km. There is 5-speed manual transmission. Standard equipment includes: ABS with EBD, two airbags, radio CD, manual air-conditioning, electric windows and driving mirrors, speed limiter and park sensors.

The 2.0 Deluxe version has got the same type of engine, but in standard equipment there is additional: air conditioning with climate control, sunroof, external temperature display, leather steering wheel, leather upholstery and CD changer (6 CDs).

The top version 2.4 Deluxe has got only another engine, 2.4 liters capacity (16V) and 130 bhp. The maximum torque is 195 Nm. It lets the car to go from 0-100 km/h in 12.5 sec. The maximum speed is 195 km/h. Combined fuel is 6.8 l/km. As a standard there is 5-speed manual transmission, but customers has the opportunity to order automatic transmission.

In 2008 likely, there will be Diesel engine, added to the offer, which would let to answer for demand.

Brilliance BS6 from model year had its first face lifting. The exterior was modified only a little bit, but the interior was completely redesigned. There is also a new Turbo Diesel engine 1.8T, 170 bhp. Most of changes were probably done for European’s market needs. Exterior changes cover: redesigned front grill with new, round fog lights. Also the driving mirrors’ and rear lights’ shape was changed and another colours were used. New gas shacks are used in boot - they don’t hide inside during closing. New interior elements are: control panel and center console, redesigned door’s upholstery, rear center armrest with cup holders, different seats profile, additional plug-in 220V, front seat back pockets, rear window blind or refrigerator.
