
Visitors can see a few Chinese models at the 2010 Bologna Auto Show. Great Wall presents production version of city car Voleex C10, Steed/Wingle pickup and the Kulla, a concept for a city car with extremely rounded surfaces. Italian auto retailer Martin Motors another time unveiled the China-built Bubble minicar that looks similar to the Smart ForTwo. After a legal battle, Martin Motors said it is now allowed to sell a slightly tweaked Bubble in Europe. The best booth belongs to DR Automobiles, which presents three models made by Chery.
The most interesting car is DR3, which is offered as Chery Fulwin 2 in China. Powered by a 108-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, the DR3 will go on sale next June in Europe. In China, the Fulwin 2 hatchback is priced from around $7,800. The car achieved four-stars score in Chinese crash test carried out by C-NCAP. It was only 0,1 of point less then Suzuki SX4. Fulwin 2 has won the first place in the A0 segment in the 2010 National Automobile Consumer Satisfaction Survey Results released by China Association for Quality. Unfortunately the car still doesn’t meet the Euro 5 norms.
Anothers cars presented at sthe Boloqna was Riich M1 EV, the first electric massive produced car from China, and DR1 based on Chery Faira NN.
DR sold 3,649 units of DR1 in Italy from January to October, up 94 percent on the same period the year before, according to Italian Transport Ministry data.
As representative of Chinese independent brands, Chery also participates in the Turkey Auto Show . In this show, Chery is themed on "young, modern, dynamic", and will release 18 models, including A1, A3, Tiggo, G5, and G6, and other models and new technology products, with a very strong lineup.
