Changfeng Motor will deliver landing gears for Hummer

Changfeng Motor Corp. has signed a draft agreement with American Hummer, belonging to General Motors - Guangzhou Daily announced. Currently Changfeng produces cars on the Mitsubishi license. Japanese company’s technology allowed Changfeng to create its own constructions, for which the carmaker has ownership rights. American consumers already had the opportunity to see Chinese products, during last two motor shows in Detroit.

„Changfeng is planning to produce landing gears for Hummer, which in future will be responsible for producing subassemblies and selling knitting cars with these parts under its own brand in North America. Whereas, the Chinese partner will help Hummer in expansion on local market”, company’s CEO, Chen Zhengchu, announced.

The Chinese producer of off-roads and pickups sold only 24,428 units on local market last year, stating nearly no growth in comparison to 2006. This years plans say about 50,000 off-roads and 15,000 trucks predicted to be sold.
