AwtoZAZ officially will start to assemble of Chery Forza in Ukraine (Zaporozhye) in February 15-th. Although the production of car began in December 2010, producer has been needed two moths to prepare new assembly line. Conveyor production capacity is 8 vehicles per hour. The hangers for Forza body transfer from Paint Shop to General Assembly Shop have been adapted. Moreover, Lanos is made in the same factory since March 2009.
Analysts bode a rosy future for the Chinese car and very often compare it to Lanos, which has been sold in Ukraine as ‘Sens’. The main asset of Forza (also known as A13 or Fulwin 2) is very competitive price for a good equipment. Cheapest version of car has 4-doors body, length 4,269 mm and boot 330 liters. It has 1,5l 109 hp petrol engine and very good equipment, like air conditioning, electric windows, mirrors, central locking, radio MP3 / 4 speakers, ABS and two airbags. These things are often needed by client in basic version of cheap car.

ZAZ Chery will be cost 83,900 UAH or about 30,000 PLN. For comparison, Lanos prices start from 80,160 UAH (28,670 PLN). Importantly, the local assembly of car was proximate cause of drop price by 7,8% compared to A13 model which costs 90,960 UAH in Chery’s network. Another competitor from China - Geely MK - with very similar equipment, but older technology costs only 1,000 UAH less from Chery.
Ukraine is a very important market for Chery. Chinese brand sold more than 8.5 thousand cars in 2010, which gave more than 5.2% in market share (total sales was 162 595 cars, +0.2%) and 7 place in the ranking of best producers. The most popular models were: Amulet (2 811 units), Tiggo (1 908 units), Jaggi (1 651 units), Kimo (897 units) and QQ (820 units).
Chery Forza can’t be sold in Poland, because its engine has only Euro 4 norm. The car received four stars in crash test made by C-NCAP.
